We're honored to share that Galia Rosen-Schwarz, Co-Founder and CEO of C8 Health, has been named #36 on TechRound's 50 Women in Tech list — a prestigious recognition celebrating female leaders who are shaping the future of technology and startups.
TechRound's annual list spotlights women across industries who are driving meaningful innovation, building high-growth companies, and breaking barriers in the tech ecosystem. Being included among these 50 leaders is a testament to Galia's relentless focus on solving one of healthcare's most persistent problems.
Galia brings over 20 years of medtech and AI experience to C8 Health. Her career spans a $220 million acquisition at Discotech Medical Technologies, guiding Compugen to IPO with strategic partnerships including Pfizer and Novartis, and scaling multiple AI companies before co-founding C8 Health. She holds a PhD from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and has served as a visiting professor at NYU Stern.
But the turning point came from observation, not ambition. Galia saw clinicians making critical decisions without access to the latest protocols — not because they didn't care, but because the systems around them failed to deliver the right knowledge at the right moment. That insight became the foundation for C8 Health.
Together with Dr. Ido Zamberg, C8 Health's CMO and a practicing anesthesiologist, Galia set out to build something the industry had never seen: a platform that doesn't just store clinical knowledge, but actively delivers it to the right clinician at the right time.
C8 Health uses AI to surface vetted, institution-specific protocols based on a clinician's role, schedule, and patient context — accessible via mobile, desktop, and workstation without requiring any change to how clinicians already work.
The results speak for themselves. At MetroHealth, the platform achieved 100% clinician adoption within five months, with satisfaction quadrupling from 22% to 86% and timely protocol access improving from 15% to 79%. At UTMB Health, C8 drove a 9.1% improvement in glucose management compliance, projecting $786K in annual savings.
Since Galia took the helm as CEO in July 2023, C8 Health has reached a series of significant milestones:
Galia doesn't just talk about diversity — she builds it into the company's DNA. Over 40% of C8 Health's workforce are women, with women comprising more than half of the management team. In a sector where female tech leadership typically falls below 25%, that's not an accident. It's a deliberate choice.
"Diverse teams ask better questions," Galia has said. "When you bring together clinicians, engineers, and business strategists from different backgrounds, you build solutions that actually work in the real world — not just in theory."
Being named to TechRound's 50 Women in Tech list reflects not just Galia's individual achievements, but the collective work of the entire C8 Health team. Every engineer, every customer success manager, every clinical partner who believed in the mission to bridge the gap between evidence and practice — this recognition belongs to all of them.
As Galia put it in her TechRound profile: "I haven't met one hospital that knows how to take their best practices and turn them into actual practice. This is what we allow them to do."
We couldn't be more proud. Congratulations, Galia. 🙌
