We founded C8 Health to solve one of healthcare's most persistent problems: care inconsistency. Despite decades of research and well-documented best practices, the gap between what we know works and what actually happens at the bedside continues to cost $345 billion annually in the US alone—and more importantly, impacts patient outcomes every single day.

Today, we're proud to announce our $12 million Series A funding round, led by Team8, with participation from 10D and Vertex Ventures Israel. This brings our total funding to $18 million and validates what we've seen firsthand: When you eliminate the friction between evidence-based protocols and real-world practice, transformation happens fast.

Our mission

At C8 Health, our mission is to bridge the gap between evidence and practice—giving every clinician instant access to the right knowledge at the right time.

The challenge isn't a lack of good protocols or dedicated healthcare professionals. It's that critical knowledge remains trapped in siloed repositories, varying formats, and systems that weren't designed for the fast-paced reality of clinical care. Meanwhile, with nearly 7% of physicians working Locum Tenens, over 1.5 million traveling nurses, and close to 40,000 residents starting training each year, the need for accessible, standardized guidance has never been greater.

The problem

Healthcare moves at the speed of research, but best practices implementation crawls. It takes an average of 17 years for new standards of care to be widely adopted—a timeline that's simply unacceptable when lives are on the line.

We see this challenge everywhere: excellent protocols collecting digital dust while teams struggle to find guidance in critical moments. Knowledge management systems that work for administrators but fail at the point of care. Training materials that don't translate to the specific workflows and preferences of each institution.

C8 Health changes this equation entirely.

Building the first best practices implementation platform

C8 Health is the healthcare industry's first AI-powered, best practices implementation platform. We don't just store protocols—we deliver contextual, vetted guidance exactly when and where clinicians need it.

Our platform integrates seamlessly with existing hospital systems and is accessible from mobile devices, desktops, or directly through the EMR. Knowledge appears based on a clinician's schedule, role, and department. Whether you're a nurse starting a night shift or a rotating physician entering a new hospital, C8 ensures you have the right guidance at the right time.

Key features include:

  • AI-powered natural language search for instant protocol access
  • Role-based, contextual knowledge delivery that adapts to workflow
  • Executive dashboards for monitoring adherence and quality metrics
  • Global network integration connecting institutions to share best practices

Proven results at scale

In under three years, we've grown from a departmental tool in a Swiss neurology unit to serving over 100 hospitals across the United States. More importantly, we're achieving 90% clinician adoption rates within 6 months of deployment—metrics that demonstrate real value in high-pressure environments.

Our customers see measurable improvements quickly:

  • Dartmouth Health is using C8 to strengthen connections between their main campus and member locations
  • Metro Health has seen substantial improvements in resource access and information retrieval, plus high clinician satisfaction
  • University of Texas Medical Branch reports that C8 is transforming how their caregivers utilize quality data to implement best practices
C8 builds real-time quality feedback seamlessly into their platform, which will have a profound impact on the way our caregivers utilize quality data to implement best practices.

— Dr. Brian Masel, Director of Anesthesia Quality and Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology at UTMB

What's next

With this Series A funding, we're accelerating on all fronts. We're expanding our engineering and go-to-market teams, developing additional AI capabilities, and deepening our integrations with the full spectrum of hospital systems.

Most importantly, we're scaling our impact. Every hospital that adopts C8 joins a growing global network where best practices flow freely between institutions. This network effect means that a protocol innovation at one hospital can quickly benefit patients everywhere.

We're also investing heavily in our AI assistant capabilities, making it even easier for clinicians to find answers through natural language queries. The future we're building is one where every clinical question gets an instant, accurate, contextually appropriate answer from your institution's own knowledge base.

Building the standard

The rapid adoption we're seeing—from Anesthesia departments to system-wide deployments—proves that C8 isn't just another healthcare tool. We're becoming the new standard for how hospitals implement and maintain care consistency.

It is exciting to see how we enable hospitals to implement their best practices effectively and gain control over both care quality and delivery costs. This round will help us grow our team to support the needs and demand in the market.

— Galia Rosen Schwarz, C8 Health CEO

The healthcare industry is at an inflection point. The tools and knowledge exist to deliver consistently excellent care—what's been missing is the platform to make that knowledge accessible when it matters most. That's exactly what C8 Health provides.

If you're a healthcare leader ready to bridge the gap between your evidence-based protocols and frontline practice, we'd love to show you what's possible.
