C8 Health Receives High Usability Scores Across MetroHealth Anesthesiology Department

Using the mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ), 86% of respondents agreed that C8 improved the delivery of healthcare services and 87% found it easy to learn.

New York, NY - June 18, 2026 - C8 Health, an AI platform for implementing best practices in healthcare environments, today announced the results of the mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ) deployed across the anesthesiology department at Ohio-based MetroHealth hospital system as part of a Quality Improvement initiative. The outcome of the survey, which was published on JMIR Publications, revealed “high usability ratings,” particularly when it comes to navigation, improved delivery of services, and helping to manage patient health.

Designed to gauge the effectiveness and usability of mobile health apps, MAUQ measures responses on a seven-point Likert scale. The survey was distributed to 160 clinicians in MetroHealth’s anesthesiology department and yielded a response rate of 88%. C8 Health received weighted averages above 5.5 in almost every category, including:

  • Ease of use: 87% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the C8 Health app was easy to learn; 86% felt that it had consistent navigation.
  • Benefits in clinical settings: 86% agreed or strongly agreed that C8 improved delivery of services, while 80% reported that it helped manage patient health. 83% agreed or strongly agreed that it was “useful for healthcare practice.”
  • Overall satisfaction: 82% agreed or strongly agreed that they were satisfied with the C8 Health app. 86% said they would use it again.

In a recent interview published on Healthcare IT News, MetroHealth Department Chair of Anesthesiology Dr. Luis Tollinche stated that “Every member of our anesthesia department uses the platform… Residents rely on it heavily during night shifts. Attending physicians consult it for less common procedures or recent protocol updates. All clinicians review case-specific protocols on personal smartphones while moving between rooms.” The article also highlights the department's improvement in compliance with enhanced recovery protocols following C8's deployment. According to the data, the group went from~65% to over 88% on overall ERAS compliance.

“The results of the MAUQ survey show that C8 is a proven clinical partner,” said Galia Rosen-Schwarz, CEO of C8 Health. “It's a shared playbook for all hospital-approved knowledge, integrated into workflows, with direct correlation to quality improvement. C8 is helping clinicians turn best practices into actual practice, as we’ve seen at MetroHealth.”
